 THREE TIMES - Perhaps you've known the truth for a long time but never acted on it - put it off. Now you feel God doesn't want you anymore - you've missed your chance. Perhaps you've turned your back on Him because, like Peter, life did not go the way you expected.....

 We stand on the brink of disaster.

Economies worldwide have failed.

Possible nuclear meltdown.

Freedom fighters slaughtered or jailed.

 You're invited to a party,

A birthday celebration

Commemorated around the world

In every tongue and nation.

 It is not by your works or your effort,

There’s no penance that you have to pay,

For Jesus took care of it fully

When He died, then arose Easter Day.

 Can you imagine a Father

Who would give His Son to die,

Not to save the righteous,

But for sinners like you and I?

 JOHN 3:16

FOR GOD

Who spoke the world into being,

Who holds the universe in His hand,

Who hung the stars in place,

And breathed life into man.

 Their hearts were sad and in great despair

For their Lord and Saviour had died.

They pounded nails through His hands and His feet,

Between two thieves He was crucified.

 He was innocent. He was God.

Yet He spoke not a word

When falsely accused and beaten.

Even so, their hearts were not stirred.

 If you had a son

And you owned the earth,

Would you choose a stable

As his place of birth?

 "It is finished!" "It is finished!"

The price of sin has been paid.

The power of Christ's redeeming blood

Will never lessen, never fade.

 Jesus knelt in the garden,

The garden of Gethsemane,

Three times He prayed to the Father,

"Father, let this cup pass from me."

 We do not worship at a tomb,

For the stone was rolled away.

The angel declared, "He is risen."

On that very first Easter Day.

 They shouted Hosanna

And threw palms at His feet

As He rode a donkey

Toward Jerusalem's streets.

 I fell before that cross.

The tears began to flow.

I repented of my sins

That had cost my Saviour so.

 Though we're not what He intended,

God has not abandoned this world.

Over a corrupt and sin-sick earth,

His banner of love He unfurled.

Do you know the Easter story?

The story of One who died for you?

The story of love and sacrifice?

Rejoice! The story is true!

 The Shepherd watches over His lambs.

He has defeated the enemy.

No longer are the sheep bound by sin

For their Saviour has set them free.

 What value does the world place on you?

Are you important on this earth?

And just how is your worth measured?

By your beauty, your wealth, or your girth?
